Rev. Dr. James Tino is the founder and director of Global Lutheran Outreach. Dr. Tino earned a Master of Divinity from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA, and served as an evangelistic missionary in the cities of Venezuela for 13 years (1988 – 2001). From 2000 – 2004, he was the Area Director for the Caribbean region for the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod. Dr. Tino earned his PhD in missiology from Concordia Theological Seminary in 2009, and maintains an active teaching schedule at several institutions, including Trinity International University (South Florida) and Concordia Theological Seminary (Indiana). Dr. Tino is affilitate faculty at Ohio Christian University (Ohio), and the head of the Online Mission and Evangelism department. He is the author of several journal articles as well as the book, Meeting Ananias, and has led conferences in Venezuela, India, Brazil, Argentina, and Chile. Dr. Tino and his family currently live in Miami, Florida, USA, but will be moving to Santiago, Chile in September 2014. Dr. Tino is married to Liisa, and they have four children.
