Our students onboard the Toyota Tacoma.

The truck is no longer safe or comfortable for everyone

We are looking to purchase a used minibus to transport our students between their homes, our Ministry Center, and their school. Right now, we use a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck that can hold about 15 students.

A few years ago, we began our project with a tuk-tuk, one of the most common forms of transportation in Cambodia, which we later upgraded to a truck. However, with 22 students now, the truck is no longer safe or comfortable for everyone. We plan to sell the Toyota Tacoma and use the money to help purchase a more suitable vehicle.

That minibus will be used for ministry purposes only and not as a personal vehicle for Joe and Viya Stoltenow. While many items in Cambodia are inexpensive, vehicles, gas, and electricity are often higher in price than in the United States. This makes owning a new vehicle out of reach for most people and yet a necessity for a growing Street Kid’s Ministry.
