Community Development with Technical Training
Building brighter futures through skills and faith
Hope Church is located in a very rural part of Cambodia, where opportunities for sustainable work are almost nonexistent. Many in this community have never had the chance to learn technical skills that could open doors to employment in nearby Siem Reap or surrounding areas.
That’s why this project seeks to equip adults with practical training—skills they can use to provide for their families and strengthen their community.
From sewing and engine repair to English, computers, hotel and restaurant management, animal husbandry, and even small crafts for the tourist industry at Angkor Wat—these training are about much more than jobs. They’re about dignity, opportunity, and a future with hope.
How it will begin
The project launches in October 2025.
We’ll start with a community-wide assessment to identify local needs and talents, connect with qualified trainers, purchase the necessary materials, and guide participants as they step into the workforce for the very first time.
Why it matters
Siem Reap is full of opportunities—but without training, these doors remain closed for many families.
By helping people gain modern, marketable skills, this project will establish a strong foundation for long-term stability.
Beyond economic change, every training will be hosted at or near the church—where participants will also encounter the transforming hope of Jesus Christ.
