Sam and Brooke Orozco served as missionaries in Ciudad del Este, Paraguay for two years. Now back in Michigan, they have been working with the Michigan District of the LCMS in order to identify areas of urgent need for Gospel outreach to Hispanics. The Orozcos have identified a spanish-speaking community north of Lansing that is outside of the reach of established Christian ministries in the area, and are building a support network in order to begin a viable, long-term, Gospel outreach ministry among them

Please Pray for:

  • Health and safety for the Orozco family as they undergo many transitions during relocation.
  • The hearts of the Hispanic people to receive the Gospel.
  • For wisdom and guidance as ministry develops.
  • Peace, Joy, and Encouragement as they visit congregations and others to share the ministry vision.

God’s peace and presence are yours through Jesus!

Last spring you came to my ESL class at St. Peter’s in Richmond. At that time Pastor Lorenz was conducting 2 Spanish services at St. Peter’s each month as well as those in Detroit. I was the president of the Blue Water Zone Lutheran Women’s Missionary League and our group decided that the banner we would be making for our convention should go to Pan De Vida. The banner was made, the convention is over, Pastor Lorenz is gone and I still have the banner. Would you like to have the banner? The theme was “My Peace I Give You” and it is in Spanish. I notice that you are working in the Lansing area. We have relatives there so I’m sure I could get it to you without any difficulty.
I pray that your outreach is going well. God’s blessings to you.

I love reading all the things our Lord is doing in your lives. I’ll keep praying and hope that Sam and Jim can get together as they planned.
    God’s peace
