El primer dia de Kinder de Sofy

Una de los retos sofy tenia era adaptarse a ir a la escuela en la guyana, asi que comenzamos a investigar los requisitos necesarios para que ella pudiera ir al kinder de la villa 72, gracias a Dios contamos con toda la papeleria que ellos necesitan y empezo a ir a la escuela, la primera semana fue dificil por que no se queria separar de nosotros un pais diferente, otro idioma y hasta el clima parecia una excusa para ir al kinder pero ahora es feliz asistiendo.

One of the challenges sofy had was adapting to going to school in guyana, so we began to investigate the necessary requirements for her to go to kindergarten in villa 72, thank God we have all the paperwork they need and she started to go to school, the first week was difficult because a different country, another language and even the weather did not want to be separated from us. It seemed like an excuse to go to kindergarten but now she is happy attending.

Primera semana en la Guyana

Como un abrir y cerrar de ojos paso nuestra primera semana en la guyana, y gracias a Dios el clima nos fue favorable (estuvo lloviendo) lo que hizo que nos pudieramos adaptar al calor gradualmente, comenzamos con el primeros retos, desde movilizarnos solos al mercado y tienda para comprar nuestra comida, entender los precios y el idioma, tambien fue algo complicado, cuando nos dicen 1200 a veces nos dicen mil doscientos y otras nos dicen doce cientos, pero lo logramos, e hicimos algunos amigos en el camino.

In a blink of an eye, our first week in Guyana passed, and thank God the weather was favorable for us (it was raining) which meant that we could gradually adapt to the heat, we began with the first challenges, from mobilizing ourselves to the market and store to buy our food, understand the prices and the language, it was also somewhat complicated, when they tell us 1200 sometimes they tell us one thousand two hundred and other times they tell us twelve hundred, but we made it, and we made some friends along the way.

Febrero 27: Llegamos a Guyana

En la madrugada del 27 de febrero llegamos a GUYANA aproximadamente a las 2:30 a.m. y luego de un largo proceso migratorio dejamos el aeropuerto Cheddi Jagan como a las 3:45 a.m. al salir nos encontramos con Sarina Singh y partimos rumbo a nuestro hotel para un breve descanso, al medio dia viajar en dirección a la frontera con Surinam, para llegar a el edificio de Guyanesse Outreach donde viviremos a partir de hoy. Como toda mudanza lleva un tiempo adaptarse al nuevo entorno, conocer como moverse, donde comprar cosas, como relacionarse con los nuevos vecinos e incluso al nuevo clima del lugar, les estaremos contando como nos va en todas estas cosas. Nos vemos pronto que Dios los Bendiga!

Early in the morning of February 27, we arrived at GUYANA approximately 2:30 am. and after a long migratory process we left the Cheddi Jagan airport around 3:45 a.m. outside the airport we meet Sarina Singh and head to our hotel for a short rest, at noon we travel in the direction of the border with Suriname to reach the Guyanesse Outreach building, where we will live from today. As any move takes time to adapt to the new environment, to know how to move, where to buy things, how to interact with the new neighbors and even to the new climate of the place, we will be telling you how we are doing in all these things. Febrero 26: Comienza nuestro viaje

El 26 de febrero salimos de Guatemala rumbo a Panamá y de ahi rumbo a la Guyana, estamos muy emocionados y deseosos de comenzar esta nueva etapa de nuestras vidas, al mismo tiempo estamos un poco nerviosos por que no sabemos que retos nos esperan y nostálgicos por que dejamos nuestro hogar, familia y amigos de toda una vida. Pero queremos servir a Dios sobre todas las cosas!!
También queremos agradecer a todos los que nos han apoyado durante todo este tiempo en oración como económicamente, este es el comienzo de SU la misión en GUYANA y de la nuestra también, lo que significa que ahora mas que nunca necesitamos sus oraciones y apoyo para que juntos podamos llevar a cabo esta misión.

On February 26 we left Guatemala fly to Panama and from there to Guyana, we are very excited and eager to start this new phase of our lives, at the same time we are a little nervous because we do not know what challenges await us and nostalgic for that we leave behind, our home, family and friends. But we want to serve God above all things!!
We also want to thank everyone who has supported us throughout this time in prayer and financially, this is the beginning of YOUR mission in GUYANA and ours as well, which means that now more than ever we need your prayers and support so that together we can carry out this mission.
