Serving in Many Ways!
God’s Church is worldwide, and God’s resources are spread throughout His Church! Sometimes God’s people in one country have just what is needed by God’s people in another country. GLO projects are connected to the places where GLO missionaries live and serve. All projects of Global Lutheran Outreach are sponsored by a GLO missionary or board member. Global Lutheran Outreach does not support free-standing projects.

All of our missionaries are “faith funded”. This means that they depend entirely on God for their support - there is no big bank account someplace that pays the bills. God works through people like you and me, moving us with His passion to “seek and to save the lost”. OVERVIEW OF GLOBAL LUTHERAN OUTREACH
Global Lutheran Outreach (GLO) serves the worldwide Lutheran community by sending cross-cultural missionaries (ordained, commissioned, or lay) from everywhere to everywhere in partnership with churches, congregations, and individuals.

FAST FACTS
- Founded in 2010
- Over 50 missionaries have been sent through Global Lutheran Outreach
- 36 missionaries currently serving in 10 countries
- Over 50% of GLO missionaries are from non-Western nations
- Approximately 2500 people have supported a GLO missionary in the last 4 years alone!
THE OPPORTUNITY
Among the more than 5 billion unreached or unevangelized people in the world, there is an increasing God- inspired welcoming of the Gospel. Today, the most vibrant church bodies are outside the USA and outside of Western nations as a whole. (Examples: Ethiopia has nearly 10 million Lutherans; Tanzania about 7 million; and Madagascar about 4.5 million Lutherans. That’s incredible!)
The shifting of growth of Christianity from the global North (and West) to the global South provides new opportunities for sending missionaries from growing church bodies to lands and nations that have not been reached with the Gospel. Once the floodgates are opened, the Lutheran churches of the global South will have the potential and capacity to send hundreds – or even thousands – of missionaries all over the world!
The future of missions is now! GLO is at the forefront of the next big missionary movement by providing a way for the churches of the Global South to become missionary-sending churches!
SIEZING THE OPPORTUNITY: THE FUTURE OF MISSIONS IS NOW!
Goal: $10 million dollar income-generating Endowment Fund
Guided by the Board of Directors and managed by the Lutheran Legacy Foundation, the primary purpose of the Global Lutheran Outreach Endowment Fund is to match dollar-for-dollar the funds raised by non-Western missionaries in non-Western countries. This will encourage global participation in the missionary enterprise by Lutheran church bodies which traditionally have not sent missionaries due to the perceived cost barrier.
The Endowment Fund will expand GLO’s capacity to facilitate the sending of missionaries from every nation of the world, especially those whose financial circumstances are more challenging. Together, as contributors to the Fund and partners in the Gospel, we can send Lutheran missionaries to share the Good News of Jesus for generations to come! Your legacy gift to the Global Lutheran Outreach Endowment Fund will enable Lutherans to be Christ’s witnesses “from everywhere to everywhere!”
