Hi, I’m Sarah Burr…

Originally from Columbus, Indiana, I have had the opportunity during the last four years to enhance my education at Concordia University Chicago to become a Director of Christian Education. God has shaped me during my young life to strive to serve Him in all that I do. During the last three years I have worked with children, youth, and adults as the Missionary with Youth at St. John’s Lutheran Church in La Grange, Illinois.

In the past I have participated in mission trips within the United States. Last year I had to opportunity to participate in my first short term international mission trip to Thailand. It opened my heart to the needs of other cultures and how I have the opportunity to serve them. I truly believe that God “equips the called” and does so through missions!

For my next step, God has led me to serve with the Lutheran Church of Paraguay in the city of Asuncion, in the Cristo Rey parish. I will be assisting the pastor and congregation in Evangelism, Music, and Outreach within the community. I am beyond excited for this life changing opportunity! I do not know what lies ahead for me, but I trust that God will lead me in this adventure.
