We got married February  1978 after Samuel returned to Nigeria from Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA. Samuel has served in the LCN on various leadership positions. His apostleship mostly in areas of theological lectureships and Administration of national Church body.  When GLO  Board reported that a vacancy was pending in Mwanza, Tanzania , for a “THEOLOGY TEACHER” and that position was waiting for a qualified & ordained Lutheran pastor to fill, a chord was struck. Samuel and Grace saw that as a direct call from God to serve him cross culturally.

Grace (Mfon) is a certified deaconess in the Lutheran Church of Nigeria from December 2002. In the area of Women’s Ministry , Grace has a wide range of experience from leading the LCN Pastors Wives Association many years. And from organizing training sessions for wives of Seminarians/Pastoral candidates. Being a professionally trained teacher, Mfon utilizes her skills in equipping women and youths to put their Christian Faith into action, both in church and in society. She has been a French Language Teacher at High School level.

Our children are grown. The last 2 are studying in Nigerian  universities.
