BIRTHDAYS:
Eric – April 27th
Linda – September 24th
Michael – October 28th
Julia – February 23rd
ANNIVERSARY: May 29th
We moved to Tanzania in September of 2012. After three months at a language school learning Swahili, we began our work in Mwadui, Tanzania (for a Google map/pictures, click here). Eric taught math, physics and computers at Mwadui Lutheran Secondary School. Linda taught a guidance and counseling course at the school, worked with the Lutheran church on community development projects, and home-schooled our two children, Michael and Julia. Michael joined our family in September of 2015 and Julia became part of our family in September 2017. They bring so much joy to us, our community here, and our worldwide community.
After almost seven years of service in Tanzania, we prayerfully decided to move back to the U.S. in 2020 in order to expedite the process of getting U.S. citizenship for Michael and Julia. This move will also allow Linda to have better access to healthcare for her Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth and will give all four of us the opportunity to spend more time with our extended families.
