George and Shary – Serving the Lord in Cambodia

George n Shary bamyon tree  Birthdays:

George: September 6

Shary:    December 30

Anniversary: August 28

We are George and Shary Frahm, current missionaries into the villages and rural peoples of Cambodia. Being retired didn’t initially include being officially employed by the largest global enterprise in the world, namely God and His church. Yet He has moved our hearts and humbly shaped us into this current ministry platform to Cambodia, a county in Southeast Asia with 15 million people, 95% of whom are Buddhist. Actually Cambodia is a new country being only independent since 1993 after a devastating country wide genocide of 25% of its people.

Our official ministry platform has spanned a mere 20+ years starting with the local university setting in Saginaw, Michigan, where international students came to study and experience American culture and life. It was there that the beginnings of an outreach to those students led many of them to know and accept Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. More recently we accepted a position to live in Indonesia to share our lives with young adults of all faiths in a Christian university, our first assignment outside the local community. Cambodia is now our second international calling. With each of these last two moves came the adaptation and experience of living cross-culturally.

God equips the called and calls the equipped. He is doing that with us each and every day here and in the years gone by. God would have everyone in Cambodia to come to a knowledge of the truth and eternal salvation. God has been in Cambodia since creation, but has chosen now for His mission for those people to know Him even more.

We have already been in Cambodia nearly six years working toward growing the church communities and families. We will be doing community development to help the local communities prosper into sustainable vibrant church bodies to share the Good News from within. Our focus will start there in a pocket of target communities as we have already build those initial relationships.

You are invited as individuals or as a church to partner with us in this ministry with prayer, financial support, communication, and short term mission visits. Each month we share true life stories and an update as to how things are progressing and how the local church is faring. We would also love to hear from you and know your prayer needs and blessings as we serve Him together.

children in Kenya and Rwanda., would have loved to have visited them. You will both be in my prayers along with your mission. Blessings Elfine

    • gfrahm says:

      Good Afternoon Elfine,

We so appreciate your encouraging words and prayers along this journey and chapter of our lives. As our grandson reminded us that we only had to open the door to share Jesus and we didn’t have to get on an airplane and fly half a world away from him. So while you physically may not desire to travel at this time, there is that door in your home that you can open as well. Wise words from a very young soul. You are sharing Jesus from your living room too. Thank you.

  4. Rebecca says:

Happy belated birthday, Shary! Happy Chinese New Year! Do they celebrate it in Cambodia? We have four Cambodian students at International Teachers College and we love them sooo much. Their sponsor is Steve Hyde. Do you know of that ministry?

    Blessings as you minister there!

Where are your Cambodian students from, province wise? Can you ask them for me please? Yes, Steve and ourselves have had some contact back and forth. God is so blessing these people with things just like this. Amen !

  6. Dear Sir/madam
Greetings to you in the wonderful name of our lord Jesus Christ! i would like to inform about our ministry and the activities of our ministry. My name is Pastor S.Chinna (Cornelius). From state Orissa INDIA. I was born and brought up in Christian family. At the age of 15years I accepted the lord as my personal savior. After my graduation B.Sc. I applied Bible College in Ban galore. After my B.Th again I applied for M.Div in Ban galore. After that I came to Andhra Pradesh for ministry. We have involved different activities in our ministry. I was married in May 29.2007. God gave me wonderful life partner. Her name is Theresa she sings wonderful songs. God has blessed us a wonderful male Son. We both are completely involved in full time ministry. We have a great vision for the unreached to reach and to touch the untouched. We are sharing the word of God many poor and needy people and lost people of Andhra Pradesh and state of Orissa India.
God gave us wonder vision through Mathew 28: 19-21. Fulfilling the great commission.
God is using us many parts of Andhra Pradesh state, Orissa state of India. We are winning the lost and reaching the every unreached village of East costal districts of Andhra Pradesh and Orissa state INDIA. Presently we are doing ministry in 185 villages. We are having many pastors under our leadership they are working with us.
We are keep reaching most interior remote villages small towns and sharing the love of God and planting the churches
So many people in India are still in darkness. They still don’t know about Jesus Christ. Through Gospel and with the love God and we are bringing them in to the light of Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ is their personal savior.

Many of our pastors are not getting any kind of source and they need financial support and they need good church buildings to conduct the regular service. In villages pastors are not getting any kind of financial support and the pastors facing many difficulties.

In the villages many of children’s are school drop outs and they are not getting any help from their parents and even in the villages mainly untouchable of low caste and in the community they have no rights to study with high communities. So none of them are giving hope and education.

We are now giving special coaching to the school dropouts and orphans children’s in 3 places with 287 children’s and we also giving food for them and teaching the love of God.
Our dream to have a children’s homes in different places and English school for them to have better future in coming days.

Our Humble prayers and requests to you all please kindly pray and if the lord allows to visit our ministry feel free to write to us
We will be happy to hear from your response

Isaiah 58: “Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke?
Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter – when you see the naked, to clothe him, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?
Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.
Then you will call, and the Lord will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say:
    Here am I.”

    • gfrahm says:

      Dear Pastor Chinna-

Your statement of faith is very general. Do you follow the book of Concord and Luther’s small and large catechisms? And, are you a confessional church? Finally, what do you desire from us?

  7. Tranetta McComb says:

Shary–So goooooood to hear from you . Glad the cutter will work for you. I think you may have wanted the Olfa cutting board and rotary cutter. I thought this was safer and easier to travel with. Olfa boards will warp if left in the heat.Plus the one I sent was on sale –50%off!!.

Blessings to you George as you do work for our Wonderful Savior.

    • gfrahm says:

  8. Helen Lowry says:

Hello Shary, I arrived back in Melbourne Australia on Wednesday. When we left Seam Reap to go to Vietnam we had a wonderful time in Hoi An. Leaving there for Saigon, I had the worst experience of my life! On the Thursday I had the worst ever asthma attack in my life. I was going to the restroom and reached the 6th floor and collapsed. My lungs felt like they were going to burst. So I laid there thinking this is it Then I thought of you. And I heard your voice say get up and move. I did very slowly and very slowly tried to get some air into my lungs. Eventually I made it to the ground floor where my husband rushed over with Ventolin. Then I took prednisolone. I was stuck in the hotel for the next 4 days because of the poor air quality. So Saigon was not good for me. I thank God I met you in Seam Reap, because you impacted on my mind. If I had not thought about you, I am sure that I would not be here now. Thank you so so much. I will keep in touch and I will read your blogs. You are the most amazing, nicest person I have ever met and I am so thankful for that. Regards, Helen Lowry.

    • gfrahm says:

Good evening Helen, So so good to hear from you and even more so grateful that you have been able to plant your feet back on home turf again. I must say your dialogue left me somewhat breathless for just a bit (no pun intended). What a scary set of circumstances you had to travel thru. I am thanking God’s angels for embracing you during that period and that His healing brought you to safe ground again. I guess Saigon won’t be on my visit list any time soon ~ my goodness. Please keep in touch, it is so special to hear from you. You brought back some wonderful memories of my days in Melbourne way back when I was 16, so many centuries ago it seems. I’m sure I wouldn’t know Box Hill by what you said it looked like today. Cheers! and blessings abounding as well. Shary
