Francis’ family is heading to Guyana and needs your support

Reverend Chimah Francis and his family have received a call to serve as missionaries in Guyana, South America. However, they need sufficient funds to fulfill their goal of deploying by August 2025.

They are eager to begin their mission. “But the support discovery is high, not impossible and difficult for the Lord. We are counting on you to support in raising enough funds to get us there,” missionary Chimah shares in his very first newsletter.

Their missionary work will be in partnership with Guyanese Outreach (GO) and Global Lutheran Outreach.

“There are so many needs to meet but the most important is the spiritual lives. They are hunger and thirsty for the word of God and flocks without shepherd. The young ones needs to be train, nurture and bring to maturity in Christ to be the light of the world. This is our calling and ministry in Guyana totally evangelistic ministry,” explains Chimah.

Chimah Francis is a trained and ordained Lutheran minister. He has served the Lutheran Church of Nigeria (LCN) for many years—often as a missionary—in locations such as Abia and Bendeghe Ogoja in Cross River State, Onitsha in Anambra State, and Bayelsa State, where he last served before joining Global Lutheran Outreach.

He has held various leadership positions, focusing especially on mentoring youth and children in the ways of the Lord. He married Success Chizorom in 2012.

Success is a trained community health worker by profession and, according to Chimah, “has gift of counseling and has been using it to guide our youth to be steadfast and focus in their faith.”

They have been married for about 23 years and are blessed with three children.

“It has been our desire to fulfill our purpose in life together as servants of God with joy no matter the ups and downs,” highlights Chimah.
