Matthew 4:1-11

1 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 And after fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3 And the tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread.” 4 But he answered, “It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone,but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.” 5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and set him on the pinnacle of the temple 6 and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written, He will command his angels concerning you, and On their hands they will bear you up,lest you strike your foot against a stone.’” 7 Jesus said to him, “Again it is written, You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.” 8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 And he said to him, “All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me.” 10 Then Jesus said to him, “Be gone, Satan! For it is written, You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve.’” 11 Then the devil left him, and behold, angels came and were ministering to him.

Mateo 4:1-11

1 Entonces Jesús fue llevado por el Espíritu al desierto, para ser tentado por el diablo. 2 Y después que hubo ayunado cuarenta días y cuarenta noches, tuvo hambre. 3 Y vino a Él el tentador, y le dijo: Si eres el Hijo de Dios, di que estas piedras se conviertan en pan. 4 Pero Él respondió y dijo: “Escrito está: No sólo de pan vivirá el hombre, sino de toda palabra que sale de la boca de Dios.” 5 Entonces el diablo lo llevó a la santa ciudad, y lo puso sobre el pináculo del templo, 6 y le dijo: Si eres el Hijo de Dios, échate abajo; porque escrito está: A sus ángeles mandará acerca de ti, y en sus manos te sostendrán para que no tropieces con tu pie en piedra. 7 Jesús le dijo: “Escrito está también: No tentarás al Señor tu Dios.” 8 Otra vez el diablo lo llevó a un monte muy alto, y le mostró todos los reinos del mundo, y la gloria de ellos, 9 y le dijo: Todo esto te daré, si postrado me adorares. 10 Entonces Jesús le dijo: “Vete, Satanás, porque escrito está: Al Señor tu Dios adorarás, y a Él sólo servirás.” 11 Entonces el diablo le dejó, y he aquí, ángeles vinieron y le servían.

Matthew 17:1-9

1 And after six days Jesus took with him Peter and James, and John his brother, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. 2 And he was transfigured before them, and his face shone like the sun, and his clothes became white as light. 3 And behold, there appeared to them Moses and Elijah, talking with him. 4 And Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good that we are here. If you wish, I will make three tents here, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah.” 5 He was still speaking when, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my beloved Son,with whom I am well pleased; listen to him.” 6 When the disciples heard this, they fell on their faces and were terrified. 7 But Jesus came and touched them, saying, “Rise, and have no fear.” 8 And when they lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only. 9 And as they were coming down the mountain, Jesus commanded them, “Tell no one the vision, until the Son of Man is raised from the dead.”

Mateo 17:1-9

1 Y después de seis días, Jesús tomó a Pedro, y a Jacobo, y a Juan su hermano, y los llevó aparte a un monte alto; 2 y se transfiguró delante de ellos; y su rostro resplandeció como el sol, y su vestidura se hizo blanca como la luz. 3 Y he aquí les aparecieron Moisés y Elías, hablando con Él. 4 Entonces respondiendo Pedro, dijo a Jesús: Señor, bueno es que estemos aquí; si quieres, hagamos aquí tres tabernáculos; uno para ti, uno para Moisés, y uno para Elías. 5 Mientras Él aún hablaba, una nube resplandeciente los cubrió; y he aquí una voz desde la nube, que decía: Éste es mi Hijo amado, en quien tengo contentamiento; a Él oíd. 6 Y oyendo esto los discípulos, cayeron sobre sus rostros, y temieron en gran manera. 7 Entonces Jesús vino y los tocó, y dijo: “Levantaos, y no temáis.” 8 Y alzando ellos sus ojos a nadie vieron, sino a Jesús solo. 9 Y cuando descendieron del monte, Jesús les mandó, diciendo: “No digáis a nadie la visión, hasta que el Hijo del Hombre resucite de los muertos.”

31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed Him, If y0u continue in my word, then you are my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. 33 ¶They answered him, We are Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how you say, You shall be made free? 34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever commits sin is the servant of sin. 35 And the servant does not abide in the house for ever: but a son abides ever. 36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Juan 8:31-36
31 Entonces dijo Jesús a los judíos que habían creído en Él: “Si vosotros permanecéis en mi palabra, seréis verdaderamente mis discípulos;” 32 “y conoceréis la verdad, y la verdad os hará libres.” 33 Le respondieron: Simiente de Abraham somos, y jamás fuimos esclavos de nadie. ¿Cómo dices tú: Seréis libres? 34 Jesús les respondió: “De cierto, de cierto os digo: Todo aquel que hace pecado, esclavo es del pecado.” 35 “Y el esclavo no queda en la casa para siempre; el Hijo sí permanece para siempre.” 36 “Así que, si el Hijo os libertare, seréis verdaderamente libres.”
