John 2:1-11

1 On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. 2 Jesus also was invited to the wedding with his disciples. 3 When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.” 4 And Jesus said to her, “Woman, *xlwhat does this have to do with me? My hour has not yet come.” 5 His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.” 6 Now there were six stone water jars there for the Jewish rites of purification, each holding twenty or thirty gallons. 7 Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water.” And they filled them up to the brim. 8 And he said to them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the feast.” So they took it. 9 When the master of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and did not know where it came from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom 10 and said to him, “Everyone serves the good wine first, and when people have drunk freely, then the poor wine. But you have kept the good wine until now.” 11 This, the first of his signs, Jesus did at Cana in Galilee, and manifested *xqhis glory. And *xrhis disciples believed in him.

Juan 2:1-11

1 Y al tercer día se hicieron unas bodas en Caná de Galilea; y estaba allí la madre de Jesús. 2 Y fueron también invitados a las bodas Jesús y sus discípulos. 3 Y faltando el vino, la madre de Jesús le dijo: No tienen vino. 4 Jesús le dijo: “¿Qué tengo yo contigo, mujer?” Aún no ha venido mi hora. 5 Su madre dijo a los siervos: Haced todo lo que Él os dijere. 6 Y estaban allí seis tinajas de piedra para agua, conforme a la purificación de los judíos, y en cada una cabían dos o tres cántaros. 7 Jesús les dijo: “Llenad de agua estas tinajas.” Y las llenaron hasta arriba. 8 Y les dijo: “Sacad ahora, y llevadla al maestresala.” Y se la llevaron. 9 Y cuando el maestresala probó el agua hecha vino, y no sabía de dónde era (mas lo sabían los siervos que habían sacado el agua), el maestresala llamó al esposo, 10 y le dijo: Todo hombre sirve primero el buen vino, y cuando ya han bebido mucho, entonces el que es inferior, pero tú has guardado el buen vino hasta ahora. 11 Este principio de milagros hizo Jesús en Caná de Galilea, y manifestó su gloria; y sus discípulos creyeron en Él.

Matthew 3:13-17

13 Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to John, to be baptized by him. 14 John would have prevented him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?” 15 But Jesus answered him, “Let it be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he consented. 16 And when Jesus was baptized, immediately he went up from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming to rest on him; 17 and behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”

Mateo 3:13-17

13 Entonces Jesús vino de Galilea a Juan al Jordán, para ser bautizado por él. 14 Pero Juan le resistía, diciendo: Yo necesito ser bautizado por ti, ¿y tú vienes a mí? 15 Pero Jesús respondió, y le dijo: “Deja ahora; porque nos es preciso cumplir así toda justicia.” Entonces le dejó. 16 Y Jesús, después que fue bautizado, subió luego del agua; y he aquí los cielos le fueron abiertos, y vio al Espíritu de Dios que descendía como paloma, y venía sobre Él. 17 Y he aquí una voz del cielo que decía: Éste es mi Hijo amado, en quien tengo contentamiento.

Luke 2:41-52

41 Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the Feast of the Passover. 42 And when he was twelve years old, they went up according to custom. 43 And when the feast was ended, as they were returning, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem. His parents did not know it, 44 but supposing him to be in the group they went a day’s journey, but then they began to search for him among their relatives and acquaintances, 45 and when they did not find him, they returned to Jerusalem, searching for him. 46 After three days they found him in the temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. 47 And all who heard him were amazed at his understanding and his answers. 48 And when his parents*n1 saw him, they were astonished. And his mother said to him, “Son, why have you treated us so? Behold, your father and I have been searching for you in great distress.” 49 And he said to them, “Why were you looking for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father’s house?”*n1 50 And they did not understand the saying that he spoke to them. 51 And he went down with them and came to Nazareth and was submissive to them. And his mother treasured up all these things in her heart. 52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature*n1 and in favor with God and man.

Lucas 2:41-52

41 E iban sus padres todos los años a Jerusalén en la fiesta de la pascua. 42 Y cuando tuvo doce años, subieron ellos a Jerusalén conforme a la costumbre de la fiesta. 43 Y cuando cumplieron los días, regresando ellos, el niño Jesús se quedó en Jerusalén, sin saberlo José y su madre. 44 Y pensando que estaba en la compañía, anduvieron camino de un día; y le buscaban entre los parientes y entre los conocidos; 45 y como no le hallaron, volvieron a Jerusalén buscándole. 46 Y aconteció que tres días después le hallaron en el templo, sentado en medio de los doctores, oyéndoles y preguntándoles. 47 Y todos los que le oían, se admiraban de su inteligencia, y de sus respuestas. 48 Y cuando le vieron, se asombraron; y le dijo su madre: Hijo, ¿por qué nos has hecho así? He aquí, tu padre y yo te hemos buscado con angustia. 49 Entonces Él les dijo: “¿Por qué me buscabais? ¿No sabíais que en los negocios de mi Padre me es necesario estar?” 50 Mas ellos no entendieron las palabras que les habló. 51 Y descendió con ellos, y vino a Nazaret, y estaba sujeto a ellos. Y su madre guardaba todas estas cosas en su corazón. 52 Y Jesús crecía en sabiduría y en estatura, y en gracia para con Dios y los hombres.

Galatians 3:23-29

23 Now before faith came, we were held captive under the law, imprisoned until the coming faith would be revealed. 24 So then, the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith. 25 But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian, 26 for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise.

Gálatas 3:23-20

23 Pero antes que viniese la fe, estábamos guardados bajo la ley, encerrados para aquella fe que había de ser revelada. 24 De manera que la ley fue nuestro ayo para traernos a Cristo, para que fuésemos justificados por la fe. 25 Mas venida la fe, ya no estamos bajo ayo, 26 porque todos sois hijos de Dios por la fe en Cristo Jesús, 27 porque todos los que habéis sido bautizados en Cristo, de Cristo estáis revestidos. 28 Ya no hay judío ni griego; no hay esclavo ni libre; no hay varón ni mujer; porque todos vosotros sois uno en Cristo Jesús. 29 Y si vosotros sois de Cristo, entonces simiente de Abraham sois, y herederos conforme a la promesa.

Luke 12:31-40

35 “Stay dressed for action and keep your lamps burning, 36 and be like men who are waiting for their master to come home from the wedding feast, so that they may open the door to him at once when he comes and knocks. 37 Blessed are those servants*n1 whom the master finds awake when he comes. Truly, I say to you, he will dress himself for service and have them recline at table, and he will come and serve them. 38 If he comes in the second watch, or in the third, and finds them awake, blessed are those servants! 39 But know this, that if the master of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have left his house to be broken into. 40 You also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”

Lucas 12:31-40

35 “Estén ceñidos vuestros lomos, y vuestras lámparas encendidas;” 36 “y vosotros sed semejantes a hombres que esperan cuando su señor ha de volver de las bodas; para que cuando venga y toque, en seguida le abran.” 37 “Bienaventurados aquellos siervos a quienes el señor, cuando venga, halle velando; de cierto os digo que se ceñirá, y hará que se sienten a la mesa, y vendrá y les servirá.” 38 “Y si viene a la segunda vigilia, o aunque venga a la tercera vigilia, y los halla así, bienaventurados son aquellos siervos.” 39 “Y esto sabed, que si supiese el padre de familia a qué hora había de venir el ladrón, velaría ciertamente, y no dejaría minar su casa.” 40 “Vosotros, pues, también, estad apercibidos; porque a la hora que no penséis, el Hijo del Hombre vendrá.”

Titus 3:4-7

4 But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, 5 he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Tito 3:4-7

4 Pero cuando se manifestó la bondad de Dios nuestro Salvador, y su amor para con los hombres, 5 nos salvó, no por obras de justicia que nosotros hayamos hecho, sino por su misericordia, por el lavamiento de la regeneración y de la renovación del Espíritu Santo; 6 el cual derramó en nosotros abundantemente por Jesucristo nuestro Salvador, 7 para que justificados por su gracia, viniésemos a ser herederos conforme a la esperanza de la vida eterna.

Luke 2:1-14

1 In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. 2 This was the first registration when Quirinius was governor of Syria. 3 And all went to be registered, each to his own town. 4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the town of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, 5 to be registered with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child. 6 And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth. 7 And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn. 8 And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with fear. 10 And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy that will be for all the people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, 14 “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will among men!”

1 Y aconteció en aquellos días que salió un edicto de parte de Augusto César, que todo el mundo fuese empadronado. 2 Este empadronamiento primero fue hecho siendo Cirenio gobernador de Siria. 3 E iban todos para ser empadronados, cada uno a su ciudad. 4 Y José también subió de Galilea, de la ciudad de Nazaret, a Judea, a la ciudad de David, que se llama Belén, por cuanto era de la casa y familia de David; 5 para ser empadronado con María su esposa, desposada con él, la cual estaba a punto de dar a luz. 6 Y aconteció que estando ellos allí, se cumplieron los días de su alumbramiento. 7 Y dio a luz a su hijo primogénito, y le envolvió en pañales, y le acostó en un pesebre, porque no había lugar para ellos en el mesón. 8 Y había pastores en la misma región, que velaban y guardaban las vigilias de la noche sobre su rebaño. 9 Y he aquí, el ángel del Señor vino sobre ellos, y la gloria del Señor los cercó de resplandor; y tuvieron gran temor. 10 Mas el ángel les dijo: No temáis; porque he aquí os doy nuevas de gran gozo, que será para todo el pueblo: 11 Que os ha nacido hoy, en la ciudad de David, un Salvador, que es Cristo el Señor. 12 Y esto os será por señal; hallaréis al niño envuelto en pañales, acostado en un pesebre. 13 Y repentinamente fue con el ángel una multitud de los ejércitos celestiales, que alababan a Dios, y decían: 14 Gloria a Dios en las alturas, y en la tierra paz, buena voluntad para con los hombres.

John 1:19-28

19 And this is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, “Who are you?” 20 He confessed, and did not deny, but confessed, “I am not the Christ.” 21 And they asked him, “What then? Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” And he answered, “No.” 22 So they said to him, “Who are you? We need to give an answer to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?” 23 He said, “I am the voice of one crying out in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way of the Lord,’ as the prophet Isaiah said.” 24 Now they had been sent from the Pharisees. 25 They asked him, “Then why are you baptizing, if you are neither the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?” 26 John answered them, “I baptize with water, but among you stands one you do not know, 27 even he who comes after me, the strap of whose sandal I am not worthy to untie.” 28 These things took place in Bethany across the Jordan, where John was baptizing.

Juan 1:19-28

19 Y éste es el testimonio de Juan, cuando los judíos enviaron de Jerusalén sacerdotes y levitas, a preguntarle: ¿Tú, quién eres? 20 Y confesó, y no negó; sino confesó: Yo no soy el Cristo. 21 Y le preguntaron: ¿Qué, pues? ¿Eres tú Elías? Y dijo: No soy. ¿Eres tú el Profeta? Y él respondió: No. 22 Entonces le dijeron: ¿Quién eres? para que demos respuesta a los que nos enviaron. ¿Qué dices de ti mismo? 23 Él dijo: Yo soy la voz de uno que clama en el desierto: Enderezad el camino del Señor, como dijo el profeta Isaías. 24 Y los que habían sido enviados eran de los fariseos. 25 Y preguntándole, le dijeron: ¿Por qué, pues, bautizas, si tú no eres el Cristo, ni Elías, ni el Profeta? 26 Juan les respondió, diciendo: Yo bautizo en agua, mas en medio de vosotros está uno a quien vosotros no conocéis. 27 Él es el que viniendo después de mí, es antes de mí; del cual yo no soy digno de desatar la correa del calzado. 28 Estas cosas acontecieron en Betábara, al otro lado del Jordán, donde Juan estaba bautizando.

Matthew 11:2-11

2 Now when John heard in prison about the deeds of the Christ, he sent word by his disciples 3 and said to him, “Are you the one who is to come, or shall we look for another?” 4 And Jesus answered them, “Go and tell John what you hear and see: 5 the blind receive their sight and the lame walk, lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, and the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them. 6 And blessed is the one who is not offended by me.”

7 As they went away, Jesus began to speak to the crowds concerning John: “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind? 8 What then did you go out to see? A man dressed in soft clothing? Behold, those who wear soft clothing are in kings’ houses. 9 What then did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet. 10 This is he of whom it is written, “‘Behold, I send my messenger before your face,who will prepare your way before you.’ 11 Truly, I say to you, among those born of women there has arisen no one greater than John the Baptist. Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.”

2 Y oyendo Juan en la prisión los hechos de Cristo, envió dos de sus discípulos, 3 diciéndole: ¿Eres tú Aquél que había de venir, o esperaremos a otro? 4 Y respondiendo Jesús les dijo: “Id, y decid a Juan las cosas que oís y veis.” 5 “Los ciegos ven y los cojos andan, los leprosos son limpiados y los sordos oyen, los muertos son resucitados y a los pobres es predicado el evangelio.” 6 “Y bienaventurado es el que no fuere escandalizado en mí.” 7 Y yéndose ellos, comenzó Jesús a decir a las multitudes acerca de Juan: “¿Qué salisteis a ver al desierto? ¿Una caña sacudida por el viento?” 8 “¿O qué salisteis a ver? ¿Un hombre cubierto de ropas delicadas? He aquí, los que visten ropas delicadas, en las casas de los reyes están.” 9 “Mas, ¿qué salisteis a ver? ¿A un profeta? Sí, os digo, y más que profeta.” 10 “Porque éste es de quien está escrito: He aquí, yo envío mi mensajero delante de tu faz, el cual preparará tu camino delante de ti.” 11 “De cierto os digo: Entre los nacidos de mujer jamás se levantó otro mayor que Juan el Bautista; pero el que es menor en el reino de los cielos, mayor es que él.”

Luke 21:25-36

25 “And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves, 26 people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 27 And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” 29 And he told them a parable: “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. 30 As soon as they come out in leaf, you see for yourselves and know that the summer is already near. 31 So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that the kingdom of God is near. 32 Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all has taken place. 33 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. 34 “But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap. 35 For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

Lucas 21:25-36

25 “Entonces habrá señales en el sol, en la luna y en las estrellas; y en la tierra, angustia de naciones en confusión; bramando el mar y las olas;” 26 “desfalleciendo los hombres a causa del temor y expectación de las cosas que vendrán sobre la tierra; porque las potencias de los cielos serán conmovidas.” 27 “Y entonces verán al Hijo del Hombre, viniendo en una nube con poder y gran gloria.” 28 “Y cuando estas cosas comiencen a suceder, erguíos y levantad vuestras cabezas, porque vuestra redención está cerca.” 29 Y les dijo una parábola: “Mirad la higuera y todos los árboles:” 30 “Cuando ya brotan, viéndolo, de vosotros mismos sabéis que el verano ya está cerca.” 31 “Así también vosotros, cuando veáis que suceden estas cosas, sabed que está cerca el reino de Dios.” 32 “De cierto os digo, que no pasará esta generación hasta que todo esto acontezca.” 33 “El cielo y la tierra pasarán, mas mis palabras no pasarán.” 34 “Y mirad por vosotros mismos, que vuestros corazones no sean cargados de glotonería y embriaguez y de los afanes de esta vida, y venga de repente sobre vosotros aquel día.” 35 “Porque como un lazo vendrá sobre todos los que habitan sobre la faz de toda la tierra.” 36 “Velad, pues, orando en todo tiempo, que seáis tenidos por dignos de escapar de todas estas cosas que han de venir, y de estar en pie delante del Hijo del Hombre.”
