In love there is no fear

1 John 4:16-21

16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwells in love dwells in God, and God in him. 17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear: because fear hath torment. He that fears is not made perfect in love. 19 We love him, because he first loved us. 20 If a man say, I love God, and hates his brother, he is a liar: for he that loves not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? 21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loves God love his brother also.

1 Juan 4:16-21

16 Y nosotros hemos conocido y creído el amor que Dios tiene para con nosotros. Dios es amor; y el que permanece en amor, permanece en Dios, y Dios en él. 17 En esto es perfeccionado el amor en nosotros, para que tengamos confianza en el día del juicio; pues como Él es, así somos nosotros en este mundo. 18 En el amor no hay temor; mas el perfecto amor echa fuera el temor, porque el temor conlleva castigo. Y el que teme no ha sido perfeccionado en el amor. 19 Nosotros le amamos a Él, porque Él nos amó primero. 20 Si alguno dice: Yo amo a Dios, y aborrece a su hermano, es mentiroso; porque el que no ama a su hermano a quien ha visto, ¿cómo puede amar a Dios a quien no ha visto? 21 Y nosotros tenemos este mandamiento de Él: Que el que ama a Dios, ame también a su hermano.
