Matthew 11;2.-11

2 Now when John heard in prison about the deeds of the Christ, he sent word by his disciples and said to him, “Are you the one who is to come, or shall we look for another?” 4 And Jesus answered them, “Go and tell John what you hear and see: 5 the blind receive their sight and the lame walk, lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, and the dead are raised up, and the poor have the good news preached to them. 6 And blessed is the one who is not offended by me.” 7 As they went away, Jesus began to speak to the crowds concerning John: “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind? 8 What then did you go out to see? A man dressed in soft clothing? Behold, those who wear soft clothing are in kings’ houses. 9 What then did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet. 10 This is he of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before your face,who will prepare your way before you. 11 Truly, I say to you, among those born of women there has arisen no one greater than John the Baptist. Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

Sí, os digo, y más que profeta.” 10 “Porque éste es de quien está escrito: He aquí, yo envío mi mensajero delante de tu faz, el cual preparará tu camino delante de ti.” 11 “De cierto os digo: Entre los nacidos de mujer jamás se levantó otro mayor que Juan el Bautista; pero el que es menor en el reino de los cielos, mayor es que él.”

Luke 21:25-36

25 “And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves, 26 people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 27 And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because *xayour redemption is drawing near.” 29 And he told them a parable: “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. 30 As soon as they come out in leaf, you see for yourselves and know that the summer is already near. 31 So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that the kingdom of God is near. 32 Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all has taken place. 33 Heaven and earth will pass away, but *xemy words will not pass away. 34 “But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap. 35 For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 But stay awake at all times, praying that you may *xmhave strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

Lucas 21:25-36

25 “Entonces habrá señales en el sol, en la luna y en las estrellas; y en la tierra, angustia de naciones en confusión; bramando el mar y las olas;” 26 “desfalleciendo los hombres a causa del temor y expectación de las cosas que vendrán sobre la tierra; porque las potencias de los cielos serán conmovidas.” 27 “Y entonces verán al Hijo del Hombre, viniendo en una nube con poder y gran gloria.” 28 “Y cuando estas cosas comiencen a suceder, erguíos y levantad vuestras cabezas, porque vuestra redención está cerca.” 29 Y les dijo una parábola: “Mirad la higuera y todos los árboles:” 30 “Cuando ya brotan, viéndolo, de vosotros mismos sabéis que el verano ya está cerca.” 31 “Así también vosotros, cuando veáis que suceden estas cosas, sabed que está cerca el reino de Dios.” 32 “De cierto os digo, que no pasará esta generación hasta que todo esto acontezca.” 33 “El cielo y la tierra pasarán, mas mis palabras no pasarán.” 34 “Y mirad por vosotros mismos, que vuestros corazones no sean cargados de glotonería y embriaguez y de los afanes de esta vida, y venga de repente sobre vosotros aquel día.” 35 “Porque como un lazo vendrá sobre todos los que habitan sobre la faz de toda la tierra.” 36 “Velad, pues, orando en todo tiempo, que seáis tenidos por dignos de escapar de todas estas cosas que han de venir, y de estar en pie delante del Hijo del Hombre.”

1 And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two disciples, 2 Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me. 3 And if any man say ought unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them. 4 All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, 5 Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass. 6 And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them, 7 And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon. 8 And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way. 9 And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.

1 Y cuando se acercaron a Jerusalén, y vinieron a Betfagé, al monte de los Olivos; entonces Jesús envió dos discípulos, 2 diciéndoles: “Id a la aldea que está delante de vosotros, y luego hallaréis una asna atada, y un pollino con ella; desatadla, y traédmelos.” 3 “Y si alguno os dijere algo, decid: El Señor los necesita; y luego los enviará.” 4 Todo esto fue hecho para que se cumpliese lo que fue dicho por el profeta, que dijo: 5 Decid a la hija de Sión: He aquí tu Rey viene a ti, manso, y sentado sobre una asna, y un pollino hijo de animal de yugo. 6 Y los discípulos fueron, e hicieron como Jesús les mandó; 7 y trajeron el asna y el pollino, y pusieron sobre ellos sus mantos, y le sentaron encima. 8 Y la multitud, que era muy numerosa, tendía sus mantos en el camino, y otros cortaban ramas de los árboles y las tendían en el camino. 9 Y las multitudes que iban delante y los que iban detrás aclamaban, diciendo: ¡Hosanna al Hijo de David! ¡Bendito el que viene en el nombre del Señor! ¡Hosanna en las alturas!

1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. 2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: 4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. 6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. 7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. 9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. 11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. 12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. 13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

1 “Entonces el reino de los cielos será semejante a diez vírgenes que tomando sus lámparas, salieron a recibir al esposo.” 2 “Y cinco de ellas eran prudentes, y cinco insensatas.” 3 “Las insensatas, tomaron sus lámparas, no tomando consigo aceite.” 4 “Mas las prudentes tomaron aceite en sus vasos, juntamente con sus lámparas.” 5 “Y tardándose el esposo, cabecearon todas y se durmieron.” 6 “Y a la media noche fue oído un clamor: He aquí, viene el esposo; salid a recibirle.” 7 “Entonces todas aquellas vírgenes se levantaron, y aderezaron sus lámparas.” 8 “Y las insensatas dijeron a las prudentes: Dadnos de vuestro aceite; porque nuestras lámparas se apagan.” 9 “Mas las prudentes respondieron, diciendo: No; no sea que no haya suficiente para nosotras y vosotras, id más bien a los que venden, y comprad para vosotras.” 10 “Y entre tanto que ellas iban a comprar, vino el esposo; y las que estaban apercibidas entraron con él a las bodas; y se cerró la puerta.” 11 “Y después vinieron también las otras vírgenes, diciendo: ¡Señor, señor, ábrenos!” 12 “Pero él, respondiendo, dijo: De cierto os digo: No os conozco.” 13 “Velad, pues, porque no sabéis el día ni la hora en que el Hijo del Hombre ha de venir.”

31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ 37 Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38 And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39 And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40 And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’ 41 “Then he will say to those on his left, Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’ 44 Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’ 45 Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’ 46 And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: 21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. 22 And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it. 23 And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them. 24 For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day. 25 But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation. 26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. 27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; 29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. 30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

No vayáis tras ellos, ni los sigáis.” 24 “Porque como el relámpago, que resplandeciendo, alumbra de un extremo al otro bajo del cielo, así también será el Hijo del Hombre en su día.” 25 “Pero primero es necesario que padezca mucho, y sea rechazado por esta generación.” 26 “Y como fue en los días de Noé, así también será en los días del Hijo del Hombre.” 27 “Comían, bebían, se casaban y se daban en casamiento, hasta el día en que Noé entró en el arca; y vino el diluvio, y destruyó a todos.” 28 “Asimismo también como fue en los días de Lot; comían, bebían, compraban, vendían, plantaban, edificaban;” 29 “pero el día en que Lot salió de Sodoma, llovió del cielo fuego y azufre, y destruyó a todos.” 30 “Así también será el día en que el Hijo del Hombre se manifieste.”

Juan 8:31-36

33 Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country: 34 And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it. 35 And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another. 36 Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise. 37 But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son. 38 But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance. 39 And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him. 40 When the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen? 41 They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons. 42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? 43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. 44 And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

Y con esto concuerdan las palabras de los profetas, como está escrito: Después de esto volveré, y reedificaré el tabernáculo de David, que está caído; y repararé sus ruinas, y lo volveré a levantar: Para que el resto de los hombres busque al Señor, y todos los gentiles sobre los cuales es invocado mi nombre, dice el Señor, que hace todas estas cosas. Conocidas son a Dios todas sus obras desde la eternidad. Por lo cual yo juzgo, que no se moleste a los que de los gentiles se convierten a Dios; sino que les escribamos que se abstengan de las contaminaciones de los ídolos, y de fornicación, y de estrangulado y de sangre. Porque Moisés desde los tiempos antiguos tiene en cada ciudad quien lo predique en las sinagogas, donde es leído cada sábado. Entonces pareció bien a los apóstoles y a los ancianos, con toda la iglesia, elegir varones de ellos, y enviarlos a Antioquía con Pablo y Bernabé; a Judas que tenía por sobrenombre Barsabás, y a Silas, varones principales entre los hermanos.

5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. 6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. 7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 9 Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me: 10 For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia. 11 Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry.

2 Timoteo 4:5-11

5 Pero tú vela en todo, soporta las aflicciones, haz la obra de evangelista, cumple tu ministerio. 6 Porque yo ya estoy para ser sacrificado, y el tiempo de mi partida está cercano. 7 He peleado la buena batalla, he acabado mi carrera, he guardado la fe. 8 Por lo demás, me está guardada la corona de justicia, la cual me dará el Señor, juez justo, en aquel día; y no sólo a mí, sino también a todos los que aman su venida. 9 Procura venir pronto a mí; 10 porque Demas me ha desamparado, amando este mundo presente, y se ha ido a Tesalónica; Crescente a Galacia, Tito a Dalmacia. 11 Sólo Lucas está conmigo. Toma a Marcos y tráele contigo; porque me es útil para el ministerio.
