Twenty years of mission and change in Venezuela

This month of July marks a personal milestone for me. In July 2003, I arrived in Venezuela to begin three years of service as a lay volunteer for Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod World Missions. Venezuela and the world have changed dramatically since then. To celebrate the occasion, I have recorded a special video message and publshed on the mission’s Spotify podcast (which normally consists of my Sunday sermons in Spanish) and on our YouTube channel. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have supported our mission, especially those who have been our partners from the beginning. We ask that you continue to pray for our young people here and around the world. May the Lord bless and keep you. Amen.

Cierre del año escolar 2017/2018

Los seis que van al primer grado.Este año se cumplen 15 años desde la fundación de nuestro preescolar. En 2003 nuestra casa fue designado como Centro Integral Nutriniño para proveer alimentación y educación preescolar a los niños en Sector Las Lomas de La Caramuca. Ahora somos el Simoncito Comunitario “Mi Pequeña Lucecita”.

El 13 de julio celebramos la cierre del año escolar 2017/2018 juntos con el CEIB “Las Delicias”. Seis de nuestros estudiantes fueron promocionados al primer grado para el próximo año escolar:

  • Diana Carolina Torres Ortega;
  • Cristian Alexander Dugarte Laguna;
  • Josneybert Alexander Ramírez Chacón;
  • Adriana Alejandra Zambrano Carrero;
  • Samantha Del Carmen Araque Villarta;
  • Jeidy Sofía Ascanio Vivas.

Reconocemos por su compromiso y servicio Nailu La Cruz, la maestra que ha quedado con el preescolar desde el principio hasta ahora. Gracias a Dios, ¡ella va a servir como maestra el próximo años escolar!

Marking 15 years

We began our preschool 15 years ago. One teacher, Nailu La Cruz, has been with us, and the children, since the beginning, today at our preschool graduation ceremony, we paid tribute to Nailu for her commitment and service.
