John 6:1-15

1 After this Jesus went away to the other side of the Sea of Galilee, which is the Sea of Tiberias. 2 And a large crowd was following him, because they saw the signs that he was doing on the sick. 3 Jesus went up on the mountain, and there he sat down with his disciples. 4 Now the Passover, the feast of the Jews, was at hand. 5 Lifting up his eyes, then, and seeing that a large crowd was coming toward him, Jesus said to Philip, “Where are we to buy bread, so that these people may eat?” 6 He said this to test him, for he himself knew what he would do. 7 Philip answered him, “Two hundred denarii would not buy enough bread for each of them to get a little.” 8 One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to him, 9 “There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are they for so many?” 10 Jesus said, “Have the people sit down.” Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, about five thousand in number. 11 Jesus then took the loaves, and when he had given thanks, he distributed them to those who were seated. So also the fish, as much as they wanted. 12 And when they had eaten their fill, he told his disciples, “Gather up the leftover fragments, that nothing may be lost.” 13 So they gathered them up and filled twelve baskets with fragments from the five barley loaves, left by those who had eaten. 14 When the people saw the sign that he had done, they said, *xw“This is indeed the Prophet who is to come into the world!” 15 Perceiving then that they were about to come and take him by force to make him king, Jesus withdrew again to the mountain by himself.

Juan 6:1-15

1 Después de estas cosas, Jesús se fue al otro lado del mar de Galilea, que es de Tiberias. 2 Y le seguía gran multitud, porque veían sus milagros que hacía en los enfermos. 3 Y subió Jesús a un monte, y se sentó allí con sus discípulos. 4 Y estaba cerca la pascua, la fiesta de los judíos. 5 Cuando Jesús alzó sus ojos, y vio una gran multitud que había venido a Él, dijo a Felipe: “¿De dónde compraremos pan para que coman éstos?” 6 Pero esto decía para probarle; pues Él sabía lo que iba a hacer. 7 Felipe le respondió: Doscientos denarios de pan no les bastarían para que cada uno de ellos tome un poco. 8 Uno de sus discípulos, Andrés, hermano de Simón Pedro, le dijo: 9 Un muchacho está aquí que tiene cinco panes de cebada y dos pececillos; pero ¿qué es esto entre tantos? 10 Entonces Jesús dijo: “Haced recostar los hombres.” Y había mucha hierba en aquel lugar; y se recostaron, en número como de cinco mil varones. 11 Y Jesús tomando los panes, habiendo dado gracias, los repartió a los discípulos, y los discípulos a los que estaban recostados; y asimismo de los peces, cuanto querían. 12 Y cuando se hubieron saciado, dijo a sus discípulos: “Recoged los pedazos que sobraron, para que no se pierda nada.” 13 Recogieron, pues, y llenaron doce cestas de pedazos, que de los cinco panes de cebada sobraron a los que habían comido. 14 Entonces aquellos hombres, cuando vieron el milagro que Jesús había hecho, dijeron: Verdaderamente Éste es el Profeta que había de venir al mundo. 15 Y percibiendo Jesús que habían de venir para tomarle por fuerza y hacerle rey, volvió a retirarse al monte Él solo.

Matthew 8:23-27

23 And when he got into the boat, his disciples followed him. 24 And behold, there arose a great storm on the sea, so that the boat was being swamped by the waves; but he was asleep. 25 And they went and woke him, saying, “Save us, Lord; we are perishing.” 26 And he said to them, “Why are you afraid, you of little faith?” Then he rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. 27 And the men marveled, saying, “What sort of man is this, that even winds and sea obey him?”

Mateo 8:23-27

23 Y cuando Él hubo entrado en una barca, sus discípulos le siguieron. 24 Y he aquí que se levantó en el mar una tempestad tan grande que las olas cubrían la barca; mas Él dormía. 25 Y vinieron sus discípulos y le despertaron, diciendo: Señor, sálvanos, que perecemos. 26 Y Él les dijo: “¿Por qué teméis, hombres de poca fe?” Entonces, levantándose, reprendió a los vientos y al mar, y se hizo grande bonanza. 27 Y los hombres se maravillaron, diciendo: ¿Qué clase de hombre es Éste, que aun los vientos y el mar le obedecen?

John 4:46-54

46 So he came again to Cana in Galilee, where he had made the water wine. And at Capernaum there was an official whose son was ill. 47 When this man heard that Jesus had come from Judea to Galilee, he went to him and asked him to come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death. 48 So Jesus said to him, “Unless you see signs and wonders you will not believe.” 49 The official said to him, “Sir, come down before my child dies.” 50 Jesus said to him, “Go; your son lives.” The man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him and went on his way. 51 As he was going down, his servants met him and told him that his son was recovering. So he asked them the hour when he began to get better, and they said to him, “Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.” 53 The father knew that was the hour when Jesus had said to him, “Your son lives.” And he himself believed, and all his household. 54 This was now the second sign that Jesus did when he had come from Judea to Galilee.

Juan 4:46-54

46 Vino, pues, Jesús otra vez a Caná de Galilea, donde había convertido el agua en vino. Y había en Capernaúm un oficial del rey, cuyo hijo estaba enfermo. 47 Éste, cuando oyó que Jesús venía de Judea a Galilea, vino a Él y le rogó que descendiese y sanase a su hijo, porque estaba a punto de morir. 48 Entonces Jesús le dijo: “Si no viereis señales y prodigios, no creeréis.” 49 El oficial del rey le dijo: Señor, desciende antes que mi hijo muera. 50 Jesús le dijo: “Ve, tu hijo vive.” Y el hombre creyó la palabra que Jesús le dijo, y se fue. 51 Y cuando ya él descendía, sus siervos salieron a recibirle, y le dieron las nuevas, diciendo: Tu hijo vive. 52 Entonces les preguntó a qué hora había comenzado a mejorar. Y le dijeron: Ayer a la hora séptima le dejó la fiebre. 53 Entonces el padre entendió que aquella hora era cuando Jesús le dijo: “Tu hijo vive;” y creyó él, y toda su casa. 54 Éste además es el segundo milagro que Jesús hizo, cuando vino de Judea a Galilea.

Luke 7:11-17

11 And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people. 12 Now when he came near to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city were with her. 13 And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not. 14 And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto you, Arise. 15 And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother. 16 And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God has visited his people. 17 And this rumor of him went forth throughout all Judæa, and throughout all the region round about.

11 Y aconteció el siguiente día, que Él iba a la ciudad que se llama Naín, e iban con Él muchos de sus discípulos, y una gran multitud. 12 Y cuando llegó cerca de la puerta de la ciudad, he aquí que llevaban a enterrar a un difunto, hijo único de su madre, la cual también era viuda; y había con ella mucha gente de la ciudad. 13 Y cuando el Señor la vio, se compadeció de ella, y le dijo: “No llores.” 14 Y acercándose, tocó el féretro; y los que lo llevaban, se detuvieron. Y dijo: “Joven, a ti digo: Levántate.” 15 Entonces se incorporó el que había muerto, y comenzó a hablar. Y lo dio a su madre. 16 Y todos tuvieron miedo, y glorificaban a Dios, diciendo: Un gran profeta se ha levantado entre nosotros; y: Dios ha visitado a su pueblo. 17 Y esta fama de Él salió por toda Judea, y por toda la región de alrededor.

Luke 17:11-19

11 On the way to Jerusalem he was passing along between Samaria and Galilee. 12 And as he entered a village, he was met by ten lepers, who stood at a distance 13 and lifted up their voices, saying, “Jesus, Teacher, have mercy on us.” 14 When he saw them he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went they were cleansed. 15 Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice; 16 and he fell on his face at Jesus’ feet, giving him thanks. Now he was a Samaritan. 17 Then Jesus answered, “Were not ten cleansed? Where are the nine? 18 Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?” 19 And he said to him, “Rise and go your way; your faith has made you well.”

11 Y aconteció que yendo Él a Jerusalén, pasó por medio de Samaria y de Galilea. 12 Y entrando en una aldea, le vinieron al encuentro diez hombres leprosos, que se pararon a lo lejos, 13 y alzaron la voz, diciendo: Jesús, Maestro, ten misericordia de nosotros. 14 Y cuando Él los vio, les dijo: “Id, mostraos a los sacerdotes.” Y aconteció que yendo ellos, fueron limpiados. 15 Entonces uno de ellos, viendo que había sido sanado, volvió, glorificando a Dios a gran voz; 16 y se postró sobre su rostro a sus pies, dándole gracias; y éste era samaritano. 17 Y respondiendo Jesús, dijo: “¿No son diez los que fueron limpiados? ¿Y los nueve dónde están?” 18 “¿No hubo quien volviese y diese gloria a Dios sino este extranjero?” 19 Y le dijo: “Levántate, vete; tu fe te ha salvado.”

31 And again, departing from the coasts of Tyre and Sidon, he came unto the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the coasts of Decapolis. 32 And they bring unto him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they beseech him to put his hand upon him. 33 And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue; 34 And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened. 35 And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain. 36 And he charged them that they should tell no man: but the more he charged them, so much the more a great deal they published it; 37 And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.

Mark 8:1-9

1 In those days the multitude being very great, and having nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples unto him, and saith unto them, 2 I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now been with me three days, and have nothing to eat: 3 And if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way: for divers of them came from far. 4 And his disciples answered him, From whence can a man satisfy these men with bread here in the wilderness? 5 And he asked them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven. 6 And he commanded the people to sit down on the ground: and he took the seven loaves, and gave thanks, and brake, and gave to his disciples to set before them; and they did set them before the people. 7 And they had a few small fishes: and he blessed, and commanded to set them also before them. 8 So they did eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets. 9 And they that had eaten were about four thousand: and he sent them away.

1 En aquellos días, siendo tan grande la multitud, y no teniendo qué comer, Jesús llamó a sus discípulos y les dijo: 2 “Tengo compasión de la multitud, porque son ya tres días que están conmigo, y no tienen qué comer;” 3 “y si los envío en ayunas a sus casas, desmayarán en el camino; porque algunos de ellos han venido de lejos.” 4 Y sus discípulos le respondieron: ¿De dónde podrá alguien saciar de pan a éstos aquí en el desierto? 5 Y les preguntó: “¿Cuántos panes tenéis?” Y ellos dijeron: Siete. 6 Entonces mandó a la multitud que se sentase en tierra; y tomando los siete panes, habiendo dado gracias, los partió, y dio a sus discípulos para que los pusiesen delante; y los pusieron delante de la multitud. 7 Tenían también unos pocos pececillos; y los bendijo, y mandó que también los pusiesen delante. 8 Y comieron, y se saciaron; y levantaron de los pedazos que habían sobrado, siete canastos. 9 Y los que comieron eran como cuatro mil; y los despidió.

Luke 5:1-11

1 And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret, 2 And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets. 3 And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship. 4 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. 5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. 6 And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. 7 And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink. 8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord. 9 For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken: 10 And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men. 11 And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed him.

1 Y aconteció, que estando Él junto al lago de Genezaret, la multitud se agolpaba sobre Él para oír la palabra de Dios. 2 Y vio dos barcas que estaban cerca de la orilla del lago; y los pescadores, habiendo descendido de ellas, lavaban sus redes. 3 Y entrado en una de las barcas, la cual era de Simón, le rogó que la apartase de tierra un poco; y sentándose, enseñaba desde la barca a la multitud. 4 Y cuando terminó de hablar, dijo a Simón: “Boga mar adentro, y echad vuestras redes para pescar.” 5 Y respondiendo Simón, le dijo: Maestro, hemos trabajado toda la noche, y nada hemos pescado; mas en tu palabra echaré la red. 6 Y habiéndolo hecho, encerraron gran cantidad de peces, y su red se rompía. 7 E hicieron señas a los compañeros que estaban en la otra barca para que viniesen a ayudarles; y vinieron, y llenaron ambas barcas, de tal manera que se hundían. 8 Al ver esto Simón Pedro, cayó a las rodillas de Jesús, diciendo: Apártate de mí, Señor, porque soy hombre pecador. 9 Porque temor le había rodeado, y a todos los que estaban con él, a causa de la presa de los peces que habían tomado; 10 y asimismo a Jacobo y a Juan, hijos de Zebedeo, que eran compañeros de Simón. Y Jesús dijo a Simón: “No temas; desde ahora pescarás hombres.” 11 Y cuando trajeron las barcas a tierra, dejándolo todo, le siguieron.

John 2:1-11

1 On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. 2 Jesus also was invited to the wedding with his disciples. 3 When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.” 4 And Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does this have to do with me? My hour has not yet come.” 5 His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.” 6 Now there were six stone water jars there for the Jewish rites of purification, each holding twenty or thirty gallons. 7 Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water.” And they filled them up to the brim. 8 And he said to them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the feast.” So they took it. 9 When the master of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and did not know where it came from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom 10 and said to him, “Everyone serves the good wine first, and when people have drunk freely, then the poor wine. But you have kept the good wine until now.” 11 This, the first of his signs, Jesus did at Cana in Galilee, and manifested his glory. And his disciples believed in him.

1 Y al tercer día se hicieron unas bodas en Caná de Galilea; y estaba allí la madre de Jesús. 2 Y fueron también invitados a las bodas Jesús y sus discípulos. 3 Y faltando el vino, la madre de Jesús le dijo: No tienen vino. 4 Jesús le dijo: “¿Qué tengo yo contigo, mujer?” Aún no ha venido mi hora. 5 Su madre dijo a los siervos: Haced todo lo que Él os dijere. 6 Y estaban allí seis tinajas de piedra para agua, conforme a la purificación de los judíos, y en cada una cabían dos o tres cántaros. 7 Jesús les dijo: “Llenad de agua estas tinajas.” Y las llenaron hasta arriba. 8 Y les dijo: “Sacad ahora, y llevadla al maestresala.” Y se la llevaron. 9 Y cuando el maestresala probó el agua hecha vino, y no sabía de dónde era (mas lo sabían los siervos que habían sacado el agua), el maestresala llamó al esposo, 10 y le dijo: Todo hombre sirve primero el buen vino, y cuando ya han bebido mucho, entonces el que es inferior, pero tú has guardado el buen vino hasta ahora. 11 Este principio de milagros hizo Jesús en Caná de Galilea, y manifestó su gloria; y sus discípulos creyeron en Él.

1 And it came to pass, as he went into the house of one of the chief Pharisees to eat bread on the sabbath day, that they watched him. 2 And, behold, there was a certain man before him which had the dropsy. 3 And Jesus answering spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath day? 4 And they held their peace. And he took him, and healed him, and let him go; 5 And answered them, saying, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a pit, and will not straightway pull him out on the sabbath day? 6 And they could not answer him again to these things. 7 And he put forth a parable to those which were bidden, when he marked how they chose out the chief rooms; saying unto them, 8 When thou art bidden of any man to a wedding, sit not down in the highest room; lest a more honourable man than thou be bidden of him; 9 And he that bade thee and him come and say to thee, Give this man place; and thou begin with shame to take the lowest room. 10 But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee. 11 For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

1 Y aconteció un día sábado, que yendo a comer pan en casa de un príncipe de los fariseos, ellos le acechaban. 2 Y he aquí un hombre hidrópico estaba delante de Él. 3 Y respondiendo Jesús, habló a los doctores de la ley y a los fariseos, diciendo: “¿Es lícito sanar en sábado?” 4 Y ellos callaron. Entonces Él tomándole, le sanó, y le despidió. 5 Y les respondió, diciendo: “¿Quién de vosotros, si su asno o su buey cayere en un pozo, no lo sacará luego en día de sábado?” 6 Y no le podían replicar a estas cosas. 7 Y observando cómo escogían los primeros asientos a la mesa, relató una parábola a los convidados, diciéndoles: 8 “Cuando seas convidado por alguno a bodas, no te sientes en el primer lugar, no sea que otro más distinguido que tú esté convidado por él,” 9 “y el que te convidó a ti y a él, venga y te diga: Da lugar a éste; y entonces comiences con vergüenza a tomar el último lugar.” 10 “Mas cuando seas convidado, ve, y siéntate en el postrer lugar; para que cuando venga el que te convidó, te diga: Amigo, sube más arriba; entonces tendrás gloria delante de los que juntamente se sientan a la mesa.” 11 “Porque cualquiera que se enaltece, será humillado; y el que se humilla, será enaltecido.”
