Génesis 50:15-21

15 Y viendo los hermanos de José que su padre era muerto, dijeron: Quizá nos aborrecerá José, y nos dará el pago de todo el mal que le hicimos. 16 Y enviaron a decir a José: Tu padre mandó antes de su muerte, diciendo: 17 Así diréis a José: Te ruego que perdones ahora la maldad de tus hermanos y su pecado, porque mal te trataron; por tanto, ahora te rogamos que perdones la maldad de los siervos del Dios de tu padre. Y José lloró mientras hablaban. 18 Y vinieron también sus hermanos, y se postraron delante de él, y dijeron: Henos aquí por tus siervos. 19 Y les respondió José: No temáis: ¿acaso estoy yo en lugar de Dios? 20 Vosotros pensasteis mal contra mí, pero Dios lo encaminó a bien, para hacer lo que vemos hoy, para mantener en vida a mucho pueblo. 21 Ahora, pues, no tengáis miedo; yo os sustentaré a vosotros y a vuestros hijos. Así los consoló, y les habló al corazón.

Lucas 1:39-56

39 Y en aquellos días levantándose María, se fue aprisa a la montaña, a una ciudad de Judá; 40 y entró en casa de Zacarías, y saludó a Elisabet. 41 Y aconteció que cuando oyó Elisabet la salutación de María, la criatura saltó en su vientre; y Elisabet fue llena del Espíritu Santo, 42 y exclamó a gran voz, y dijo: Bendita tú entre las mujeres, y bendito el fruto de tu vientre. 43 ¿Y de dónde esto a mí, que la madre de mi Señor venga a mí? 44 Porque he aquí, tan pronto como llegó la voz de tu salutación a mis oídos, la criatura saltó de alegría en mi vientre. 45 Y bienaventurada la que creyó, porque se cumplirán las cosas que le fueron dichas de parte del Señor. 46 Entonces María dijo: Mi alma engrandece al Señor; 47 Y mi espíritu se regocijó en Dios mi Salvador, 48 porque ha mirado la bajeza de su sierva; y he aquí, desde ahora me dirán bienaventurada todas las generaciones. 49 Porque me ha hecho grandes cosas el Poderoso; y santo es su nombre. 50 Y su misericordia es en los que le temen, de generación en generación. 51 Hizo proezas con su brazo; esparció a los soberbios en las imaginaciones de sus corazones; 52 Derribó de los tronos a los poderosos, y exaltó a los humildes. 53 A los hambrientos colmó de bienes, y a los ricos envió vacíos. 54 Socorrió a Israel su siervo, acordándose de su misericordia; 55 tal como habló a nuestros padres, a Abraham, y a su simiente para siempre. 56 Y se quedó María con ella como tres meses, y se regresó a su casa.

Efesios 2:13-22

13 Pero ahora en Cristo Jesús, vosotros que en otro tiempo estabais lejos, habéis sido hechos cercanos por la sangre de Cristo. 14 Porque Él es nuestra paz, que de ambos hizo uno, derribando la pared intermedia de separación; 15 aboliendo en su carne las enemistades, la ley de los mandamientos contenidos en ordenanzas, para hacer en sí mismo de los dos un nuevo hombre, haciendo así la paz; 16 y reconciliar con Dios a ambos en un cuerpo mediante la cruz, matando en sí mismo las enemistades. 17 Y vino, y predicó la paz a vosotros que estabais lejos, y a los que estaban cerca; 18 porque por medio de Él ambos tenemos entrada por un mismo Espíritu al Padre. 19 Así que ya no sois extranjeros ni advenedizos, sino conciudadanos de los santos, y de la familia de Dios; 20 edificados sobre el fundamento de los apóstoles y profetas, siendo la principal piedra del ángulo Jesucristo mismo, 21 en quien todo el edificio, bien coordinado, va creciendo para ser un templo santo en el Señor; 22 en quien también vosotros sois juntamente edificados, para morada de Dios en el Espíritu.

1 Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. 2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him.” 3 Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” 4 Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” 5 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.” 9 Nicodemus said to him, “How can these things be?” 10 Jesus answered him, “Are you the teacher of Israel and yet you do not understand these things? 11 Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know, and bear witness to what we have seen, but you do not receive our testimony. 12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how can you believe if I tell you heavenly things? 13 No one has ascended into heaven except he who descended from heaven, the Son of Man. 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in him may have eternal life. 16 “For so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

1 Había un hombre de los fariseos que se llamaba Nicodemo, príncipe de los judíos. 2 Éste vino a Jesús de noche y le dijo: Rabí, sabemos que has venido de Dios por maestro; pues nadie puede hacer los milagros que tú haces, si no está Dios con él. 3 Respondió Jesús y le dijo: “De cierto, de cierto te digo: El que no naciere otra vez, no puede ver el reino de Dios.” 4 Nicodemo le dijo: ¿Cómo puede un hombre nacer siendo viejo? ¿Puede entrar por segunda vez en el vientre de su madre, y nacer? 5 Respondió Jesús: “De cierto, de cierto te digo, que el que no naciere de agua y del Espíritu, no puede entrar en el reino de Dios.” 6 “Lo que es nacido de la carne, carne es, y lo que es nacido del Espíritu, espíritu es.” 7 “No te maravilles de que te dije: Os es necesario nacer otra vez.” 8 “El viento sopla de donde quiere, y oyes su sonido, pero no sabes de dónde viene, ni a dónde va; así es todo aquel que es nacido del Espíritu.” 9 Respondió Nicodemo, y le dijo: ¿Cómo puede hacerse esto? 10 Respondió Jesús y le dijo: “¿Eres tú maestro de Israel, y no sabes esto?” 11 “De cierto, de cierto te digo, que lo que sabemos hablamos, y lo que hemos visto testificamos, y no recibís nuestro testimonio.” 12 “Si os he dicho cosas terrenales, y no creéis, ¿cómo creeréis si os dijere las celestiales?” 13 “Y nadie subió al cielo, sino el que descendió del cielo, el Hijo del Hombre que está en el cielo.” 14 “Y como Moisés levantó la serpiente en el desierto, así es necesario que el Hijo del Hombre sea levantado;” 15 “para que todo aquel que en Él cree, no se pierda, mas tenga vida eterna.” 16 “Porque de tal manera amó Dios al mundo, que ha dado a su Hijo unigénito, para que todo aquel que en Él cree, no se pierda, mas tenga vida eterna.” 17 “Porque no envió Dios a su Hijo al mundo para condenar al mundo, sino para que el mundo sea salvo por Él.” 18 “El que en Él cree, no es condenado, pero el que no cree, ya es condenado, porque no ha creído en el nombre del unigénito Hijo de Dios.”

23 Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. 24 Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not mine but the Father’s who sent me.

25 “These things I have spoken to you while I am still with you. 26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; *my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. 28 You heard me say to you, I am going away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. 29 And now I have told you before it takes place, so that when it does take place you may believe. 30 I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming. He has no claim on me, 31 but I do as the Father has commanded me, so that the world may know that I love the Father.

Juan 14:23-31

Luke 24:44-53

44 Then he said to them, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.” 45 Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, 46 and said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, 47 and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. 48 You are witnesses of these things. 49 And behold, I am sending the promise of my Father upon you. But stay in the city until you are clothed with power *xyfrom on high.” 50 Then he led them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up his hands he blessed them. 51 While he blessed them, he parted from them and was carried up into heaven. 52 And they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy, 53 and were continually in the temple blessing God.

Acts 1:11

1 In the first book, O Theophilus, I have dealt with all that Jesus began to do and teach, 2 until the day when he was taken up, after he had given commands through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen. 3 To them he presented himself alive after his suffering by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God. 4 And while staying with them he ordered them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, he said, “you heard from me; 5 for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” 6 So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7 He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” 9 And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. 10 And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two *xwmen stood by them in white robes, 11 and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”

Lucas 24:44-53

44 Y les dijo: “Éstas son las palabras que os hablé, estando aún con vosotros; que era necesario que se cumpliesen todas las cosas que están escritas de mí en la ley de Moisés, y en los profetas, y en los Salmos.” 45 Entonces les abrió el entendimiento, para que comprendiesen las Escrituras; 46 y les dijo: “Así está escrito, y así fue necesario que el Cristo padeciese, y resucitase de los muertos al tercer día;” 47 “y que se predicase en su nombre el arrepentimiento y la remisión de pecados en todas las naciones, comenzando desde Jerusalén.” 48 “Y vosotros sois testigos de estas cosas.” 49 “Y he aquí, yo enviaré sobre vosotros la promesa de mi Padre: mas vosotros quedaos en la ciudad de Jerusalén hasta que seáis investidos con poder de lo alto.” 50 Y los condujo fuera hasta Betania, y alzando sus manos, los bendijo. 51 Y aconteció que bendiciéndolos, fue apartado de ellos, y llevado arriba al cielo. 52 Y ellos, habiéndole adorado, regresaron a Jerusalén con gran gozo; 53 y estaban siempre en el templo, alabando y bendiciendo a Dios. Hechos 1:1-11

Este mismo Jesús que ha sido tomado de vosotros al cielo, así vendrá como le habéis visto ir al cielo.

23 In that day you will ask nothing of me. Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. 24 Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. 25 “I have said these things to you in figures of speech. The hour is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figures of speech but will tell you plainly about the Father. 26 In that day you will ask in my name, and I do not say to you that I will ask the Father on your behalf; 27 for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God. 28 I came from the Father and have come into the world, and now I am leaving the world and going to the Father.” 29 His disciples said, “Ah, now you are speaking plainly and not using figurative speech! 30 Now we know that you know all things and do not need anyone to question you; this is why we believe that you came from God.” 31 Jesus answered them, “Do you now believe? 32 Behold, the hour is coming, indeed it has come, when you will be scattered, each to his own home, and will leave me alone. Yet I am not alone, for the Father is with me. 33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; *xlI have overcome the world.”

De cierto, de cierto os digo, que todo cuanto pidiereis al Padre en mi nombre, os lo dará.” 24 “Hasta ahora nada habéis pedido en mi nombre; pedid, y recibiréis, para que vuestro gozo sea cumplido.” 25 “Estas cosas os he hablado en parábolas; pero la hora viene cuando ya no os hablaré en parábolas, sino que claramente os anunciaré del Padre.” 26 “Aquel día pediréis en mi nombre, y no os digo que yo rogaré al Padre por vosotros;” 27 “pues el Padre mismo os ama, porque vosotros me habéis amado, y habéis creído que yo salí de Dios.” 28 “Salí del Padre, y he venido al mundo; otra vez dejo al mundo y voy al Padre.” 29 Sus discípulos le dijeron: He aquí ahora hablas claramente, y ninguna parábola dices. 30 Ahora entendemos que sabes todas las cosas, y no necesitas que nadie te pregunte; por esto creemos que has venido de Dios. 31 Jesús les respondió: “¿Ahora creéis?” 32 “He aquí la hora viene, y ya ha venido, en que seréis dispersados cada uno a los suyos, y me dejaréis solo; mas no estoy solo, porque el Padre está conmigo.” 33 “Estas cosas os he hablado para que en mí tengáis paz. En el mundo tendréis aflicción; pero confiad, yo he vencido al mundo.”

5 But now I am going to him who sent me, and none of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’ 6 But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. 7 Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you. 8 And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment: 9 concerning sin, because they do not believe in me; 10 concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you will see me no longer; 11 concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged. 12 “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. 14 He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you. 15 All that the Father has is mine; therefore I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you.

16 “A little while, and you will see me no longer; and again a little while, and you will see me.” 17 So some of his disciples said to one another, “What is this that he says to us, ‘A little while, and you will not see me, and again a little while, and you will see me’; and, because I am going to the Father’ ?” 18 So they were saying, “What does he mean by ‘a little while’ ? We do not know what he is talking about.” 19 Jesus knew that they wanted to ask him, so he said to them, “Is this what you are asking yourselves, what I meant by saying, ‘A little while and you will not see me, and again a little while and you will see me’? 20 Truly, truly, I say to you, you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will turn into joy. 21 When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come, but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a man has been born into the world. 22 So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.

16 “Un poco más, y no me veréis; y otra vez un poco, y me veréis; porque yo voy al Padre.” 17 Entonces algunos de sus discípulos dijeron entre ellos: ¿Qué es esto que nos dice: Un poco, y no me veréis; y otra vez, un poco, y me veréis, y: Porque yo voy al Padre? 18 Así que decían: ¿Qué es esto que dice: Un poco? No entendemos lo que habla. 19 Y Jesús sabía que le querían preguntar, y les dijo: “¿Preguntáis entre vosotros de esto que dije: Un poco, y no me veréis; y otra vez, un poco, y me veréis?” 20 “De cierto, de cierto os digo, que vosotros lloraréis y lamentaréis, y el mundo se alegrará; pero aunque vosotros estéis tristes, vuestra tristeza se convertirá en gozo.” 21 “La mujer cuando da a luz, tiene dolor, porque ha venido su hora; pero después que ha dado a luz un niño, ya no se acuerda de la angustia, por el gozo de que haya nacido un hombre en el mundo.” 22 “Así vosotros ahora ciertamente tenéis tristeza; pero os volveré a ver, y se gozará vuestro corazón, y nadie os quitará vuestro gozo.”
